Wyoming Outdoor Expo, in Casper May 17 - 19, 2018
Colleagues in conservation-
I write to invite you to participate in the
. We know that partners like you are integral boots on the ground for the work we do to conserve Wyoming for future generations. To show our appreciation for your partnership and to showcase all that you do, your participation at Expo is complimentary this year, and we hope you’ll join us. The complimentary participation includes a 10 foot by 10 foot booth space.
The event is open to the public from 9-5 all three days, and already we have 1600 students pre-registered. There are several ways you can participate, and I hope you’ll be a part of this great event. The options for your organization include:
Reach out to your local schools to encourage their attendance. We have transportation grants available, and can provide an invitation email or letter for you to use.
Volunteer to teach or help out at the event. All volunteers must pass a WGFD background check, and then will be entered into a raffle sponsored by Muley Fanatics and Commissioner Dube to win a firearm, a nice fishing set or some optics. The number of raffle tickets received will be related to the number of hours volunteered (this does not apply to Game and Fish or any other governmental employees).
Develop a booth with an educational message for students and the public. On Thursday and Friday students will rotate through in 15 minute blocks, and WGFD conservation education staff can work with you to develop a program suited to your organization’s mission if desired. All volunteers must pass a WGFD background check, and will be entered into the above raffle.
And finally, if you would like additional opportunities to get your name out to the public, you could sponsor the event or an additional booth. Any individuals staffing a booth need to pass a WGFD background check.
We are excited to bring Expo back. We believe it develops the conservationists of the future, and we would love to have you there. If you would like to participate, please click here and complete the form by April 1st. Please don’t hesitate to reply to this email with any questions or if you have problems with the form, or contact Kathryn Boswell at 307-777-3412.
Thank you for your valuable work in Wyoming, and I hope to see you in May at Expo!
Sincerely,
Patrick J. Crank
